Golden Globe Nominations 2026: From 'One Battle After Another' to 'Sinners', Here Are All the Nominees

The awards season is finally here, and what makes this year especially exciting is the range of films and TV shows that connected with audiences. From One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, with an intriguing storyline, to The White Lotus season 3, which once again sent shockwaves across television, this year’s nominees hold a powerful mix of critical acclaim and viewer obsession. Adolescence, which dominated the Emmys and has now returned to the awards conversation with five Golden Globe nominations. 

After The Brutalist swept major honors last year, all eyes are now on this season’s contenders. With so many strong performances and unforgettable stories in the race, who will walk away with the most wins? Here are all the Golden Globe nominees from this year.

Best Film - drama

This honor is awarded to the producers of the nominated films, with Neon leading the nominations.

Frankenstein (Netflix), Hamnet (Focus Features), Sinners (Warner Bros. Pictures), and It Was Just an Accident (Neon) The Secret Agent (Neon), and Sentimental Value (Neon) are the six films nominated for this award. 

Best film - musical or comedy

This year, the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category brought together a lively mix of big studios and international voices. 

Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, Nouvelle Vague, and One Battle After Another make up the list.

Best Animated Film

Meanwhile, the Animated category brings a lineup of global and diverse animations from major studio titles like Disney’s Elio and Zootopia 2, Arco from Neon, and Little Amélie or the Character of Rain from Gkids.

Netflix’s fan favorite K-pop Demon Hunters and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle are also nominated. 

Cinematic and Box Office Achievement

Last year, Wicked won the Golden Globes for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement awards and set the bar higher than ever for movies this year. Safe to say, the nominations are equally impressive with Avatar: Fire and Ash, F1, Kpop Demon Hunters, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Sinners, and Weapons. Wicked: For Good and Zootopia 2 are also nominated for the category.

Best non-English language film

Among the several movies in non English language that made an impression are It Was Just an Accident (France), No Other Choice (South Korea), The Secret Agent (Brazil), Sentimental Value (Norway), Sirât (Spain), The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia).

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama

This year, both Oscar winners and rising actors are nominated for this category. The nominations are Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Jennifer Lawrence (Die My Love), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), Julia Roberts (After the Hunt), Tessa Thompson (Hedda), and Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby). 

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama

The nominations for this category includes Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein), Dwayne Johnson (The Smashing Machine), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), Jeremy Allen White (Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere). 

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy

Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Cynthia Erivo (Wicked: For Good), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another), Amanda Seyfried (The Testament of Ann Lee), Emma Stone (Bugonia) are nominated for this role.

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy

Meanwhile, the male category saw both Hollywood veterans and international talents get nominations this year.

Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), George Clooney (Jay Kelly), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Lee Byung-hun (No Other Choice), Jesse Plemons (Bugonia) make up the line-up.

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture

Emily Blunt (The Smashing Machine), Elle Fanning (Sentimental Value), Ariana Grande (Wicked: For Good), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Amy Madigan (Weapons), Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another) are nominated for their brilliant performance as Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture.

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture

The male category saw Benicio Del Toro (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Paul Mescal (Hamnet), Sean Penn (One Battle After Another), Adam Sandler (Jay Kelly), Stellan Skarsgård (Sentimental Value) get nominations this year.

Best Director – Motion Picture

Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), Ryan Coogler (Sinners), Guillermo del Toro (Frankenstein), Jafar Panahi (It Was Just an Accident), Joachim Trier (Sentimental Value), Chloé Zhao (Hamnet) are the movies that made a strong impact this year. Although which movie director will win the honor remains to be seen.

Best Screenplay – Motion Picture

The nominations for Best Screenplay – Motion Picture include Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), Ronald Bronstein & Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme), Ryan Coogler (Sinners), Jafar Panahi (It Was Just an Accident), Eskil Vogt & Joachim Trier (Sentimental Value), and Chloé Zhao & Maggie O’Farrell (Hamnet).

Best Original Score – Motion Picture

Alexandre Desplat (Frankenstein), Ludwig Göransson (Sinners), Jonny Greenwood (One Battle After Another), Kangding Ray (Sirat), Max Richter (Hamnet), and Hans Zimmer (F1) make up the line-up.

Best Original Song – Motion Picture

“Dream as One” (Avatar: Fire and Ash), “Golden” (KPop Demon Hunters), “I Lied To You” (Sinners), “No Place Like Home” (Wicked: For Good), “The Girl in the Bubble” (Wicked: For Good), “Train Dreams” and (Train Dreams) are the Musical films that dominate the category, with Wicked: For Good earning two nominations.

Best Television Series – Drama

Coming onto the Television series, The Diplomat, The Pitt, Pluribus, Severance, Slow Horses, The White Lotus are nominated for the category. From workplace dramas to political thrillers, these series ruled the screens this year. 

Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy

The nominations include Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, and The Studio.  

Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

Adolescence, All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and The Girlfriend are nominated with Netflix taking the lead

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama

The nominations include Kathy Bates (Matlock), Britt Lower (Severance), Helen Mirren (Mobland), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Keri Russell (The Diplomat), and Rhea Seehorn (Pluribus). 

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama

This year’s category spans actors who impressed in political thrillers, science fiction, and character-driven dramas. Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Diego Luna (Andor), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance), and Noah Wyle (The Pitt) make up the line-up.

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy

The nominations for the female category include Kristen Bell (Nobody Wants This), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), and Jean Smart (Hacks).

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy

Adam Brody (Nobody Wants This), Steve Martin (Only Murders in the Building), Glen Powell (Chad Powers), Seth Rogen (The Studio), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building), and Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) are nominated for the category.

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie

The nominations for the female category include Claire Danes (The Beast in Me), Rashida Jones (Black Mirror), Amanda Seyfried (Long Bright River), Sarah Snook (All Her Fault), Michelle Williams (Dying for Sex), and Robin Wright (The Girlfriend).

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie

 Jacob Elordi (The Narrow Road to the Deep North), Paul Giamatti (Black Mirror), Stephen Graham (Adolescence), Charlie Hunnam (Monster: The Ed Gein Story), Jude Law (Black Rabbit), and Matthew Rhys (The Beast in Me) are nominated in this category.

Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television

The White Lotus leads the category with three supporting nominations. Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood (The White Lotus), Erin Doherty (Adolescence), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Catherine O’Hara (The Studio) are nominated in this category.

Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television

The nominations include Owen Cooper (Adolescence), Billy Crudup (The Morning Show), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus), Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus), Tramell Tillman (Severance), and Ashley Walters (Adolescence).

Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television

Bill Maher, Brett Goldstein, Kevin Hart, Kumail Nanjiani, Ricky Gervais, and Sarah Silverman.
