Cynthia Watros recently shared details about filming the intense confrontation involving Nina, Valentin, and Brennan, revealing that the sequence was as chaotic behind the scenes as it appeared on screen. During the Friday cliffhanger, Nina found herself caught in the middle of a violent struggle and accidentally injected Brennan with the paralytic drug, leaving him fighting for his life.

“When I first read them, I was like, ‘How is this going to work, with Nina not really wanting to be in the middle of this fight between Valentin [James Patrick Stuart] and Jack [Chris McKenna] and ending up injecting him with this paralytic?!’ The three of us worked with a fight coordinator and it was so frenetic, but came together so naturally. I think it really turned out great,” she explained, speaking to Soap Opera Digest.

The actress also hinted that Nina’s guilt and fear would continue weighing heavily on her moving forward. While Nina worried about the legal consequences of putting a WSB agent in the hospital, she was also struggling emotionally with the reality that Brennan ended up hurt because of her actions.

As tensions continued building in Port Charles, another familiar face entered to shake things up once again.

Nathan Dean Parsons previously returned as Ethan Lovett on General Hospital

Nathan Dean Parsons originally joined General Hospital in 2009 as Ethan Lovett and quickly became a fan-favorite character during his run through 2012. Although the role was briefly continued by actor James Ryan, who stepped in temporarily, Parsons stayed away from Port Charles for years before eventually reprising the role once again. His return had been officially confirmed earlier by executive producer Frank Valentini, who teased more twists ahead for the long-running soap.

“We are so excited that Nathan Dean is returning to General Hospital as Ethan this April. We have a great story planned — with, of course, a few twists along the way, ” Valentini said, speaking to TV Insider.

Outside of Port Charles, Parsons remained widely recognized for playing Jackson Kenner on The Originals, while also appearing in shows like True Blood, Burn Notice, Once Upon a Time, and Roswell, New Mexico. His comeback added another layer of intrigue to the increasingly dramatic events unfolding in Port Charles.

With Nina now facing mounting pressure from every direction, fans can expect the consequences of Brennan’s collapse to spiral even further in the episodes ahead. Between Drew’s condition, Willow’s desperation, and Brennan’s uncertain recovery, the storyline appears set to push Nina to her breaking point.
