Charlie Cox has immense faith in the fans and hopes they can achieve the unprecedented. The actor plays Daredevil in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again, protecting Hell’s Kitchen from crime and the most dangerous villains. However, the actor might have to hang up his Daredevil suit as the show’s third season, which has yet to premiere, is expected to be its final installment.

But neither the actor nor the fans seem ready to say goodbye to Daredevil just yet. While fans are upset over the decision, Cox is hopeful, as he reminds them of the Save Daredevil campaign, which could keep the character’s legacy alive.

Finn Jones, Krysten Ritter, and Charlie Cox came together for Marvel’s television panel at New York Comic Con 2026. When moderator Brandon Davis mentioned that the upcoming season would be the show's final instalment, the cast was met with loud boos from fans in attendance. Cox was quick to address the show's cancellation, expressing his hope that fans would continue to keep the characters' legacy alive through their Save Daredevil campaign.

“I imagine the ‘Save Daredevil’ campaign will be gearing up for round two,” he said as the group cheered. “You don’t want to invite the wrath of the Save Daredevil people.”

For those unfamiliar with the campaign, the Save Daredevil initiative that Cox mentioned at the event helped keep the character and hopes of his return alive in 2018 after Netflix cancelled the show Daredevil. The character eventually returned in Daredevil: Born Again. Although the series was initially expected to continue annually, the third season has reportedly been described as the show's final instalment following showrunner Dario Scardapane's exit. While there will always be hope, there has been no confirmation of a fourth season.

Release date of Daredevil: Born Again season 3

Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to be released on Disney+ in March 2027. However, an exact release date has not yet been announced. Until then, fans can rewatch the first two seasons of the show. The latest season ended with Matt Murdock exposing his identity to stop Wilson Fisk and being sent to prison, seemingly at peace with his decision.
