Ryan Reynolds and partner, Rob McElhenney, receives a surprising response from Gareth Bale about rejoining the game one more time.

Gareth Bale Responds With a Surprising Revelation to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Plea to Join Wrexham FC Once Again

With Phil Parkinson’s leadership, Wrexham returned to the Football League for
the first time in 15 years after emerging victorious in the National League
title last month. Because of the utter dedication of the skilled players, the
team made history. To ensure such wins in the future, the owners, Ryan Reynolds
[http://netflixjunkie.com/tag/ryan-reynolds/] and Rob McElhenney are planning to
get extraordinary players on board. One of the players is Gareth Bale, who
responded to the owners’ plea.

Welsh winger Gareth Bale is considered one of the greatest wingers of his
generation. He announced his retirement from football on January 9, 2023. At 33,
he called his time on a phenomenal 17-year career in the sport. However, the
owners of the third-oldest professional football club approached Bale and asked
him to play for the team

While it started out as a joke, it turned out the Wrexham FC owners were serious
about it.

As Express.co.uk noted,

the 33-year-old player responded to McElhenney’s message. At the UK Sport
Industry Awards 2023, the Welshman talked about the possibility of him joining
the club. He denied the chance and added he would definitely have a conversation
with the Hollywood duo. However, at the moment, he was happy spending time with
his kids and his wife.

Because of his commitment to football, he could not give time to his personal
life. Nevertheless, after his retirement, all he wants to do is stay closer to
his family while enjoying playing golf.

HOW DID RYAN REYNOLDS AND ROB MCELHENNEY APPROACH GARETH BALE?

Do you remember how the Deadpool actor slid into the DMs of It’s Always Sunny in
Philadelphia star to ask about buying Wrexham AFC with him? In a way, it
happened with Gareth Bale, as well. No, not the Canadian actor, but it was
McElhenney who texted Bale to join the club. McElhenney admitted sending the
message, and he also revealed what he said to him.

In the text, McElhenney told Bale about how he had his whole life remaining. He
would be able to spend the rest of his life with his family, but they need him
for just a year. Being serious in the disguise of sounding funny, the American
actor seriously approached Bale to come on board. However, the efforts of the
Wrexham FC owners went in vain as the player denied coming back to the game.
