Following Cavill’s departure from DC, numerous theories about the actor’s exit
surfaced online. While each theory suggested a different reason, fans were
convinced that it was Gunn who axed the actor from the role. The Suicide Squad
director went on to reveal how he was looking for a younger actor to play the
part. However, as Gal Gadot announced the third installment of Wonder Woman 3, a

He wrote that both Robert Pattinson and Gal Gadot, despite being a year or two
younger than Cavill, still enjoy their roles last DC. However, Cavill, who
turned 40 last year, was axed by Gunn since he wanted a younger actor to play
