Vasana Montgomery made headlines after two of her old social media posts containing racial slurs resurfaced. In one video, she is heard using the N-word, while in another, she raps along to a song that contains the slur. Days after the controversy erupted and her removal from the show, Montgomery shared a statement on social media.
"I want to address a couple videos from my teen years that have recently resurfaced," she wrote on her IG story. “In those videos, I used a racial slur. There is no excuse for it, and I am deeply sorry. I am embarrassed and disappointed by my words."
She further added, “I believe people should be held accountable for their actions, but I also believe in growth, learning, and becoming better. To anyone I hurt or disappointed, I am truly sorry.”
Now, this is not the first time Love Island has removed a cast member following a controversy. The show's network, Peacock, previously removed Yulissa Escobar during Season 7 following a controversy over Escobar using a racial slur. While these are some of the wrong reasons for which the show made headlines, the reality dating series remains one of the most talked-about and watched shows on television.
So, with the premiere of Season 8, there is curiosity over how to watch the latest season, as well as catch up on previous seasons of the popular reality show.
How to watch all the seasons of Love Island
The latest season of Love Island USA can be streamed exclusively on Peacock. The network took over the show in 2022 following its previous run on CBS. Premiered on June 2, 2026, Season 8 is set to release new episodes every day except Wednesday. Peacock is also home to Seasons 4 through 8 of the series.
