Legendary actor John Goodman has left fans stunned with his dramatic 200lb weight loss, looking very different at the age of 74 after being spotted in public by a fellow actor. Goodman is perhaps best known for his award-winning work on film and television. He rose to fame as Dan Conner on Roseanne, and later became a familiar voice as Sulley in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. He has also appeared in films including The Big Lebowski, Argo, and 10 Cloverfield Lane. 

Now his latest public appearance now highlights just how much he has changed in appearance. 

John Goodman is drawing attention to his dramatically slimmer appearance at age 74, after losing around 200 pounds over the years. The actor’s latest look was made public by fellow actor David DeLuise, who shared a new photo of the Coyote Ugly star on Instagram this week. Goodman was seen wearing a denim long-sleeved button-down and could be seen smiling with DeLuise as they posed in the cracker aisle of a grocery store.

“He was my childhood!! Legend! I love that I get to say that to someone ;) If you know you know,” DeLuise wrote in the caption.

Goodman's transformation, as shown by the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place actor on social media, has been closely tied to major changes in his lifestyle. He struggled with a****** addiction and stopped drinking in 2007, calling sobriety a significant turning point in his life. He also changed his eating habits, avoiding foods high in sugar and adopting a Mediterranean-style diet while paying attention to portion size. 

Much of Goodman’s physical transformation was also due to exercise. He added regular walking to his routine, reportedly clocking up thousands of steps a day, and also took up boxing workouts. Goodman was once near 400 pounds. But now, he has made sustainable changes rather than a quick transformation.
