The Sussexes’ spokesperson has issued a statement expressing his anger at the new royal book by the name of Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family, written by Tom Bower, that makes startling claims about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's marriage, finances, and connection with the royal family.

Now, the Sussexes' spokesperson, in an interview with PEOPLE, explained how wrongfully the writer has portrayed the Duke and the Duchess in his book.

“Mr. Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself.”

The spokesperson added, "Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him".

Bower further said that the writer has a pattern to write all kinds of bewildering theories about people he has barely met. According to him, his book does not present an ounce of fact and is just comprised of conspiracy. The statement arrived as The Times revealed explosive excerpts from Bower’s forthcoming book about the Californian royals.
