One of the first picks on the watchlist is the Netflix documentary series Animal, which premiered in 2021. The show takes a fascinating look at different animal families, from kangaroos and dogs to a mother lioness, using advanced filming technology to bring their stories to life. Each episode stars A-list Hollywood narrators, including Pedro Pascal.

Pascal lends his voice to the episode focused on the octopus. The series also features voices from Bryan Cranston and Rashida Jones. It later returned for another season, focusing on animals like dolphins and bears, with narrators such as Andy Serkis, Anthony Mackie, and Uzo Aduba joining the lineup.

The next movie brings Pascal’s pure comedy to the light.

The Bubble (2022)

The comedy film, The Bubble, follows a group of actors who reunite to shoot a big-budget sequel to a dinosaur movie while being stuck in a strict quarantine bubble during the pandemic. As the cast struggles with creative differences, isolation, and bizarre on-set rules, and filming under intense pressure, things quickly go off the rails in unexpected and often hilarious ways.

As for Pedro Pascal, he played the role of a superstar, Dieter Bravo, who is dealing with his d*** and s** addiction. While the pressure is at its peak, the cast, including Pascal, ensures the comedy remains strong. Keegan-Michael Key, Maria Bakalova, and Karen Gillan are also part of the cast. Although it is rated 20% on Rotten Tomatoes, the comedy makes it worth watching.

Narcos (2015 - 2017)

The entire cast of Narcos, including Pedro Pascal, shot to massive popularity with the show’s success. While Wagner Moura played the role of d*** lord Pablo Escobar, earning nominations, Pascal showed an impressive performance as DEA agent Javier Peña. This was one of the biggest roles of his career.

The series went on to earn several awards and nominations. Moreover, what makes Pascal’s character even more interesting is that Peña’s character was based on a real-life agent who investigated Escobar. Peña himself was even part of the show as a consultant.

Pascal appeared across all three seasons, but it was the final one where he stepped up as the lead. It remains one of his most brilliant performances. Another interesting gem from his career is Triple Frontier.

Triple Frontier (2019)

The range of Pedro Pascal’s works across his career is impressive. After playing a DEA agent, Pascal turned to play a character who joins a heist in Triple Frontier. The movie follows a group of former special forces soldiers who decide to put their needs first for the first time and reunite for a mission to take a large cash store from a d*** lord.

Much like the intriguing plot, the film also has an equally talented cast. Pascal showed an impressive performance playing the role of Francisco Morales in the film. Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Ben Affleck, and Garrett Hedlund are also part of the cast. Last but not least in the lineup is a kids' movie. And safe to say, the actor was brilliant in this one, too.

We Can Be Heroes (2020)

Speaking of action, humor, and emotion, Pedro Pascal has never hesitated to explore different genres throughout his career. One such example is the kids’ film We Can Be Heroes, written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. A sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, the film follows Earth’s superheroes being captured by aliens while their children, including Missy, step up to save them.
