If Marvel ever assembles the Midnight Sons, few characters feel more essential than Doctor Strange. Once the Multiverse Saga concludes with Avengers: Secret Wars, Strange’s focus could naturally shift away from multiversal chaos and toward ancient magical forces lurking on Earth. Few Marvel characters are as closely tied to the Midnight Sons as Blade. A founding member in the comics, Eric Brooks has long stood on the front lines against vampires, demons, and every creature lurking in the supernatural underworld. Although Mahershala Ali was announced as the MCU’s Blade years ago, the character has so far only been heard in the post-credits scene of Eternals, leaving fans waiting for his full on-screen debut.

Ironically, the Midnight Sons could be exactly what Blade needs. Rather than introducing the Daywalker through a standalone film, Marvel could finally unleash him alongside other supernatural heroes in a crossover event built around the occult. 

No Midnight Sons lineup would ever feel complete without the hero whose flaming skull has become the very face of Marvel’s supernatural world.

Armed with the devastating Penance Stare, mystical chains, and demonic powers, Ghost Rider has repeatedly led the charge against threats too terrifying for even the Avengers to confront.

His MCU future has never looked brighter. At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Marvel Studios officially announced a new Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling, with the project set to hit theaters in 2028 under director Shawn Levy. At first glance, Daredevil may seem like an unlikely addition to the Midnight Sons. Unlike Ghost Rider or Doctor Strange, Matt Murdock isn’t powered by magic or ancient curses. Yet in the comics, the Man Without Fear has recently joined the supernatural team, proving that his experience extends far beyond battling crime in Hell’s Kitchen. Over the years, Daredevil has repeatedly crossed paths with demons, occult forces, and mystical threats, making him a surprisingly natural fit for Marvel’s darker corner.

The MCU has already positioned Charlie Cox’s Daredevil as one of its most beloved street-level heroes, with Daredevil: Born Again continuing to expand his story. Bringing him into the Midnight Sons would not only introduce him to supernatural adventures for the first time in live action but also provide the team with a grounded perspective amid a roster filled with gods, sorcerers, and supernatural antiheroes. 

While Marvel Studios has yet to officially unveil the Midnight Sons, the foundation for the supernatural team has been quietly taking shape for years. With characters like Doctor Strange, Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, and Daredevil already connected to Marvel’s darker mythology, assembling them into one occult-powered team feels less like a matter of if and more like when.
