Minions & Monsters grossed $524 million worldwide against a budget of $85 million earlier this year. The animated period comedy not only turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office but also earned a 89% Tomatometer score. From a love letter to old cinema to a major box-office success, Pierre Coffin’s film ranked ninth worldwide in July 2026 and helped Universal Pictures race past $5 billion in global earnings for the year.

Now, the film is making its streaming debut, with an official date already set.

Minions & Monsters are about to hit the small screens on October 28 through Peacock. It is releasing roughly four months after its July 1 theatrical release, following Universal Pictures and Illumination film's standard streaming window. For those who do not want to spend on the subscription streaming model, the film has also been available to watch at home digitally since late August. 

One can also rent or purchase a digital copy of the film on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Store, Google Play Movies, YouTube. The movie has also officially landed in retail stores earlier this month on September 8. Whether audiences rent, buy, or stream it, the film is shaping up to be a worthwhile spend, with many already billing it as the franchise’s best entry yet.

Rather than sticking to the franchise’s familiar modern setting, Minions & Monsters rewrites the formula by taking the Minions back to 1927 Hollywood. The story shifts its focus from serving a human supervillain to exploring the Minions’ fascination with filmmaking, artistry, and the magic of storytelling.
