The COVID-19 pandemic became the inspiration for Catherine Ryan Howard’s hit novel, 56 Days. Now, the novel is adapted into a murder thriller series, by the same name, starring talented Dove Cameron & Avan Jogia.

As the series dropped its first look after much anticipation, there is much to know about the cast, release date. With the series hinting at a strong chemistry in the poster release, what is the plot of 56 Days?

An X page dropped the first poster of 56 Days starring Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia. The poster features the two hugging each other, although the tension is visible. The ultimate hint is the quote on the poster.

"Do you like secrets?" it read.

For those who are not aware, the story follows Oliver (Avan Jogia) and Ciara (Dove Cameron), who met at a supermarket. However, the story soon turns to the investigation of a brutal murder that happens 56 days after their encounter. Interestingly, while the book is set during the COVID-19 lockdown, the series reportedly takes up a different timeline.

However, if the poster is any indication, the series promises just as much thrill. That has clearly left the fans eager about the release date of the series.

Created by James Wan‘s Atomic Monster and Amazon MGM Studios, the thriller series, 56 Days, will run for 8 episodes. It will be released on February 18, 2026, on Amazon Prime. 

Those who have a membership can stream the show the next year. With a promising plot and mystery, the book was loved and praised by many. So, the expectation is clearly high for the series. 

Moreover, the show has a brilliant cast, including Dove Cameron and an International Emmy Award-winning actor. 

Dove Cameron will play Ciara Wyse, while Avan Jogia will be Oliver Kennedy. Award-winning Mexican actor Karla Souza will also join the two for the show, 56 Days. She will play the role of Lee Reardon.

Meanwhile, Dorian Missick is expected to play Karl Connolly in the series. With a powerhouse cast and an impressive story centered around a murder, the series will drop soon for fans to stream. Till then, fans can watch other hit thriller shows that fans are raving about.
