According to Deadline, production for the Harry Potter series is managed through Plum Jam Productions, which recently submitted its 2025 financial disclosures to the UK's Companies House. The records show that the company generated £130.6 million ($175 million) in revenue last year as cameras officially began rolling on the adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. By comparison, during the initial development phase in 2024, Plum Jam Productions reported revenue of £18.4 million ($24 million).

As the publication pointed out, these figures imply that roughly £150 million ($201 million) may have already been allocated toward launching the massive television venture. Using the production company's earnings as a baseline, experts estimate that the inaugural season could average out to approximately £18.8 million ($25.2 million) per installment.

While still an estimate, this price tag places the series squarely in the same ultra-high-budget tier as the final season of Game of Thrones, which reportedly ran at about $15 million per episode. An insider associated with the production explained to Deadline that the series carries substantial initial expenses primarily driven by the construction of elaborate, high-end sets at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
