Anne Hathaway admitted that lying in bed for hours felt like a vacation while filming Verity, and the reason completely reframes the schedule of the psychological thriller. The film pairs Hathaway with Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett in a twisted tale built on suspicion and secrets. Ahead of the October release, the trio sat down for a candid conversation about making the project. What followed was an unexpectedly funny peek behind a dark, gothic story.

While the on-screen tension between Verity's characters will keep audiences guessing, one cast member found an entirely different kind of relief on set.

Anne Hathaway explained that certain days on the set of Verity required nothing more than rest, treating it like a gift rather than a chore. She described lying in bed, drying her hair naturally, and slipping into a nightgown as her only task.

"I felt like such a cheat when I would go to work," Hathaway said in an interview with Extra TV.

She then added, "My job that day was to like let my hair dry naturally, put on a nightgown, and get into bed and like stare vacantly."

Despite the idle hours, Hathaway revealed that her mind stayed occupied while her body rested. In the same interview with Extra TV, she recalled a friend asking if she was bored, only to be told the opposite. She admitted that even while lying still, she kept running through pages of upcoming dialogue. The break was less downtime and more quiet preparation.
