DCU has taken over the minds of viewers for quite some time now. The latest
revelation about Henry Cavill [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/] as
Superman again set the internet ablaze in the past few months. It was revealed
that his iconic character was supposed to make a comeback along with Gal Gadot’s
Wonder Woman in The Flash. However, James Gunn and Peter Safran stole their
chance instantly after coming into power. Following the spread of this news,
people were left with heavy hearts failing to grasp this sad news. However, it
looks like the new update on Superman Legacy has lifted their spirits a little.

Discussing Films recently shared the news on Twitter that James Gunn is doing
screen tests for his highly anticipated film. The actors who are participating
include David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Brittney for Superman. Notably,
the race for Lois Lane is down to three: Phoebe Dynevor, Emma Mackey, and Rachel
Brosnahan. It appears that the famous director is getting closer to finding his
perfect pair.

Last month, Deadline reported that the executives have started watching the
audition tapes of the actors. And now the shortlisted names are up for the
second round of tests. All the celebrities running to replace Henry Cavill
somehow have an uncanny resemblance to the actor. Especially, Brittney and
Corenswet have the same blue eyes and jawline.

FANS SUGGEST NEW NAMES IN PLACE OF HENRY CAVILL AS SUPERMAN

Putting forward their opinions, many fans stated that David Corenswet and Emma
Mackey are the perfect fit. They have shared pictures and videos that show how
the Look Both Ways star is made for it. Since his name popped up for taking this
iconic superhero, he has been considered the topic choice. Not to mention, the
29-year-old is the only actor who matches the age criteria Gunn wanted for the
character.

It is important to note that DC Studios has not come to any conclusions yet.
These are just assumptions made by some die-hard fans awaiting the movie.
