There is quite a buzz surrounding Marvel’s X-Men reboot, with fans eagerly waiting for the mutant mayhem to begin. Marvel Studios has handed the reins to director Jake Schreier, who is set to take the franchise in a new direction. He previously helmed Thunderbolts, bringing an intriguing, character-driven approach to the story, so, understandably, anticipation for the next X-Men movie is higher than ever. 

Amid the hype, there has also been plenty of speculation about who could join the cast of X-Men. One name that has come from the rumor mill is Dafne Keen. The actress has been rumored to return to the MCU for a long time. 

Keen played the role of Laura Kinney/X-23 in James Mangold’s Logan. This was her major breakout role in Hollywood. Later, she made a surprise appearance in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine by reprising her role. Fans have often taken to social media to express their desire to see Keen return as X-23 in Avengers: Doomsday or perhaps Avengers: Secret Wars.

However, it remains unknown whether the actress will appear in Doomsday, as her name has not been included among the announced cast so far. But rumors suggest that Keen could return in another Marvel project. As per MyTimeToShineHello, the actress is reportedly in talks to return as Laura Kinney/X-23 in the next X-Men movie.

And it seems fans are already eager to give their approval to the casting.

This is a crucial reboot chapter for the X-Men franchise, making the actors chosen for these roles particularly important to the future of the films. While several notable names have been making the rounds across social media, Keen’s name has caught fans’ attention, and they appear confident about the potential casting.

"I’m praying that she does," one wrote.

"This has to be a no brainer! She killed it in Logan and in Deadpool & Wolverine," another said.

"Hoping this means we’ll see her in Avengers: Doomsday or the new X-Men movie," a comment read.

At a young age, Keen already has an impressive resume. She has starred in the Star Wars series The Acolyte and Whistle, and she is also expected to appear in Disney+’s adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Many believe that it is not just Dafne Keen’s experience but also her age that makes her a good fit for the reboot. 

"In talks ? She'd fit perfectly in the new X-Men roster given the age group they casted the actors for. That way they can take some time to properly cast the new wolverine," a fan wrote.

"If she comes back I’m ready to trade my coffee for a claw swipe, no kidding," another wrote.

As per rumors, Michael Lesslie has written a script for the movie, suggesting that the franchise is steadily moving forward with its development. Other names, including Sadie Sink, who appeared as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Samara Weaving, and Kit Connor, have also been rumored to join the cast. While nothing has been confirmed, Dafne Keen appears to have already won the fans’ approval for now.
