Entertainment websites and social media accounts like Israel Hayom, Ynet and C14 have published reports suggesting Sydney Sweeney is considering converting to Judaism. The reason being her relationship with Scooter Braun, who was raised in a Conservative Jewish household.

The reports attribute the speculation to Deuxmoi, the Instagram blog dedicated to unverified Hollywood gossip, connecting the rumor to an alleged appearance by the couple at Rosh Hashanah services. However, the Deuxmoi report cited in the coverage does not correspond to any real post or news report on their website either, rendering the claims baseless. 

Neither Sweeney nor Braun has publicly confirmed the conversion speculation, and there is no verified indication that Sweeney has begun a formal conversion process. An alleged synagogue appearance, even if accurate, is not evidence of a decision to change one’s religion, as being claimed by the likes of Ynet and C14.

While the religious speculation remains unverified, Deuxmoi has previously reported on developments in the couple’s relationship that provide context for the renewed attention.

An article published on the Deuxmoi website on September 12, 2026, focused on the possibility that Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun were making longer-term plans, citing a source who claimed they were designing and building a home together. The report framed the alleged development as a step toward a shared future, while cautioning that its claims were not independently confirmed. 

The pair were first romantically linked in summer 2025 after meeting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding festivities in Venice, where they recently circled back to. By September 2025, reports described them as dating, and their relationship was later characterized as committed.

Braun had even joined Sweeney at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere in April 2026, shortly before they made their relationship public on Instagram. Their subsequent public appearances and social media posts have offered glimpses of an increasingly visible relationship. But reports of commitment, shared plans and public affection cannot, and do not, establish a change in religious identity.

For now, the distinction is clear; the claim remains speculation, not fact.
