Meghan Markle is not suiting up again. A representative for the Duchess confirmed to E! News on May 11 that there is "no truth" to the reunion rumors. Markle played paralegal-turned-attorney, Rachel Zane, across all seven seasons of Suits, from 2011 to 2018. Her final episode aired in April 2018, written as a happy send-off where Rachel married Mike Ross and relocated to Seattle, perfectly timed with her real-life engagement to Prince Harry.
Markle departed Suits in 2017 after her relationship with Prince Harry made royal duties inevitable. USA Network confirmed the exit the day after the engagement announcement. Creator Aaron Korsh revealed the writers had known about the relationship a year prior and proactively wrote her out to give Rachel a dignified conclusion. Markle herself described it positively, calling it a new chapter focused on philanthropy, causes, and family rather than a career sacrifice.
While Meghan Markle closed the courtroom door on Rachel Zane, her production slate suggests a very different kind of docket is filling up fast.
From Suits to producer, Meghan Markle has a packed slate
Meghan Markle is far from idle. Under Archewell Productions, a scripted polo drama for Netflix was announced in March 2026, with writer Francisca X. Hu attached. Book adaptations, including The Wedding Date and Meet Me at the Lake, remain in development. A comedy film, Close Personal Friends, where Markle plays herself, is nearing release via Amazon MGM, marking her first acting appearance since Suits, suggesting she has not entirely left performing behind.

That acting cameo, however, sits inside a much larger professional picture. The original Netflix deal, reportedly worth around 100 million dollars, was restructured in summer 2025 into a first-look agreement, giving Netflix early access to Archewell projects without exclusivity. The As Ever lifestyle brand partnership ended separately in March 2026. The polo drama confirms the working relationship remains active, even if the blockbuster era is over. A Suits return stays firmly off the table.
