To make the claim look convincing, the post paired those words with footage of Jackman speaking to Cynthia Erivo for Variety’s Actors on Actors.

The text attributed to Jackman argues that Marvel Studios repeatedly kills important characters for huge emotional moments, only to discover that those deaths create storytelling headaches later. It specifically invokes Gamora and Tony Stark, claiming their exits restrict future stories and force the franchise toward “messy” multiverse or time-travel solutions. In other words, the post built an entire Marvel critique and simply handed it to Wolverine.

But @hlghprst_'s claim did not uncover some forgotten Jackman confession hiding in the Marvel archives. The video actually shows Hugh Jackman discussing his career with Cynthia Erivo, while the elaborate commentary about sacrificial deaths, Stan Lee’s era, and the MCU’s supposed long-term damage was supplied by the X account. The Wolverine never delivered those words, making this less a bombshell interview and more an internet-made costume change.
