An X account, titled Chaos Crave, posted that Andrew Garfield had signed a multi-picture contract extension with Marvel, which also included his own standalone The Amazing Spider-Man 3 project. After Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Andrew Garfield was once again in the headlines, as many claimed that the ending hinted at a new Spider-Man and that the actor could return. However, when the host urged him to share what could convince him to return to the franchise, the actor revealed one condition.

“I would need it to be very strange,” he said. “I would want it to be just completely unexpected, like a genre of Spider-Man that you’ve never seen before, that feels very left field.”

Until there is a new update on Garfield’s potential return to the Spider-Man franchise or Marvel, the actor will likely have to continue dodging questions about the possibility.
