The Odyssey debuted with more than $263 million globally, surpassing every previous opening weekend in Nolan's career and setting a new personal best for the Oscar-winning filmmaker.

The Odyssey earned $124.5 million in North America during its opening weekend, making it the biggest domestic debut of Nolan's career outside of the Dark Knight trilogy.

It trails The Dark Knight Rises ($160.8 million) and The Dark Knight ($158.4 million) but surpassed the opening weekends of Oppenheimer, Inception, and Interstellar.

IMAX contributed more than $50 million globally during opening weekend, helping The Odyssey become Nolan's biggest IMAX launch to date.

The film overtook Avatar to become the highest-grossing IMAX title in history, with nearly $300 million earned through IMAX screens alone.

Just three weekends after release, The Odyssey became the fastest movie ever to surpass $200 million in global IMAX box office revenue.

Despite its restrictive rating, the film surpassed Deadpool & Wolverine to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history.

The epic has officially overtaken The Dark Knight Rises to become the most successful movie of Nolan's career at the global box office.

The film became the highest-grossing title ever at London's iconic BFI IMAX, surpassing Avatar and selling more than 101,000 tickets at a single screen.

Indian audiences turned out in huge numbers, giving The Odyssey Nolan's biggest opening in the country and helping premium-format ticket prices reach record highs.
