It has taken Team Avatar a long time to reach the big screen, but Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is now available for streaming on Paramount+ and in a few theaters. And while the movie is doing its best to impress audiences on the screen, the cast is busy spreading the good word about the film off the screen. In the effort, they have reached a bowling alley where they took on a very famous social media personality.

Eric Nam and other cast members of the film faced off against The Rizzler in the new Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.

At the Nintendo Lounge at the Variety Studio, an epic battle took place between the cast of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and the famous social media personality The Rizzler. The battle was the ultimate bending test - bending a big resin ball to their will and striking down 10 white pins. 

Well, the game was all virtual, so most of the bending was done by a computer program. But the cast seemed to be having fun competing with The Rizzler, as can be seen by a video clip of the event posted on X (Twitter) by Variety. The video also showcases Eric Nam, who voiced Avatar Aang, giving it his best and achieving the best score for Team Avatar.

His fellow cast member Jessica Matten (Katara) could also be seen in Variety’s X post, trying to grasp the concept of the game as The Rizzler teaches her. Between laughter and some intense bouts of virtual bowling, that was a day well spent for Team Avatar, and Nam at the end left The Rizzler speechless with his clean Strike!

Talking a bit about the movie now, the movie has hit all the right notes with the critics.

The animated film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, which was released on Paramount+ on July 25 following a limited theatrical screening on July 24, has received overwhelmingly excellent reviews from critics, who praise its colorful animation and in-depth examination of Aang's sadness. However, some critics believed that the plot relied too much on common anime action clichés.

But that did not stop them from raving about the stunning visuals and fun callbacks, like the nods and references to the original show and The Legend of Korra. In the animated follow-up, which is set after the Hundred-Year War but before The Legend of Korra, Aang must deal with the loss of the Air Nomads while looking for an old power that might be able to save their way of life.
