Although Eric Dane has crossed to the other side, the beloved Grey’s Anatomy star will grace the screen one last time in Euphoria season 3, which will release on April 12. The actor, who passed away last month at the age of 53, was battling ALS and eventually succumbed to it. Fans have been waiting since then to see their favorite star for one last time on the screen, and they just got their wish.

A new trailer for Euphoria season 3 just launched, and with it, Eric Dane’s first look from the show was also revealed. Seeing Dane after his passing led to overwhelming emotions in his fans, who were left teary-eyed at the sight of the late actor. Dane had already finished filming for the third season before his death on February 19.

In the HBO series, Dane returns as Cal Jacobs, the father of Jacob Elordi's Nate Jacobs. Cal looks to be attending Nate's wedding to Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) in the trailer because he is dressed in a tan suit and boutonnière. From the trailer, it is confirmed that his storyline will be further fleshed out in this season.

This season, Cal Jacobs is dealing with everything that went down in season two, with hints that he might finally face the truth, or even find some redemption. We also see him after his arrest, including a tense and emotional run-in with Jules at a wedding.

While most of them expressed being emotional about seeing him on the screen for a final time, some were worried if the show would give him a proper storyline this time as a fitting send-off.

With Amazon Prime pulling the plug on his crime thriller series with Jensen Ackles in 2025, Euphoria season 3 remains the only place where fans can experience Dane’s charm for the last time.
