The FIFA World Cup is in full gear with the tournament now in its last leg. With the quarter-finals half done, it is time to move on to the semis. While France and Spain have already qualified for the semifinals, two more spots are left to be filled out of Norway, England, Argentina, and Switzerland. The action is intense on the field and has quickly gotten out of the stadiums and to the internet, with even celebrities openly supporting their side on social media.

The latest to join the trend is the Enola Holmes star Millie Bobby Brown, who has also posted something in support of her favorite team in a new Instagram story.

On Saturday, when England is about to clash with Norway in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-finals, the breakout star from Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, dropped an Instagram story in support of her favorite team, England. It is also the national team of her home country.

In the story, she can be seen in the FIFA World Cup 2026 winners graphic polo designed by Boggi Milano to celebrate England’s football heritage. She accessorized it with a Disney Baggu Nylon Bowler Bag with Embroidered Mickey Mouse Club, a Cartier Panthere De Cartier watch, and a Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Ring.

Notably, the Instagram story is not the first time she has extended her spport for the England team. During a June 25 event, she voiced her support for England while promoting her latest film, Enola Holmes 3, along with other cast members. She seems to be a football fan in general as she once turned up to support England’s Women’s team in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final.

Anyhow, the actress is currently enjoying the success of her latest release, Enola Holmes 3, on Netflix.

Enola Holmes 3 at the top of Netflix charts

Enola Holmes 3 debuted on Netflix on July 1. During the June 29–July 5 viewing period, it topped the platform's global English-language film chart, with 20.7 million views and 37.3 million hours watched in its first five days. That's a solid start by the standards of most streaming launches.

However, it is a significant step back by the standards of its own franchise. In its first three days in 2022, Netflix announced that Enola Holmes 2 had been watched for 64.08 million hours. Since the current views metric was not yet available, the site reported this number in hours rather than views. The third movie's opening-week pace of about 7.5 million hours per day was significantly lower than its predecessor's roughly 21.4 million hours per day on a same-standard, hours-watched basis.

Now, the numbers are not really indicative of a problem with the franchise, but does point toward the diminishing quality of the product. The latest installment in the Enola Holmes franchise is the lowest-rated on Rotten Tomatoes among all the films from the IP. This casts a shadow of doubt on the future of the franchise. But right now the actress is not worried about that as much as she is about England’s victorious FIFA World Cup campaign.
