The news of the Sense and Sensibility revival also comes amid Netflix working on a Pride and Prejudice reboot starring Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, alongside an elaborate cast and directed by Dolly Alderton. About Becoming Meg Dashwood, though, there is a catch concerning its format.

Becoming Meg Dashwood will neither be a film, nor a TV show, nor a streaming IP. It will rather be an Audible Original penned by Rebecca Humphries. Speaking about Audible’s ambition for the venture, Emma Thompson told Deadline that the platform aims to take its listeners from Jane Austen’s world into the “more hidden parts of women’s lives," parts that were not written about when the book came out.

Though Emma Thompson will not appear in flesh and blood on screen as a Dashwood sister this time around, her tease for the project makes it sound no less fascinating and worth delving into upon its release.
