The additional ensemble of the endeavor, according to Deadline, includes Emmy nominee Erin Doherty, fresh off her stint on Adolescence; BAFTA winner Naomi Ackie, who last appeared in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17; Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning; acting prodigy Imelda Staunton; as well as Liz Carr, Paterson Joseph, Greg Wise, and Golda Rosheuvel.

The youngest Dashwood sister steps into the spotlight in an innovative setup
Becoming Meg Dashwood will neither be a film, nor a TV show, nor a streaming IP. It will rather be an Audible Original penned by Rebecca Humphries. Speaking about Audible’s ambition for the venture, Emma Thompson told Deadline that the platform aims to take its listeners from Jane Austen’s world into the “more hidden parts of women’s lives," parts that were not written about when the book came out.

Though Emma Thompson will not appear in flesh and blood on screen as a Dashwood sister this time around, her tease for the project makes it sound no less fascinating and worth delving into upon its release.
