Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey sees the director reunite with several actors he has worked with before. Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Matt Damon are among the stars who returned to collaborate with Nolan on his adaptation of Homer's legendary epic poem. Another familiar face in the movie is Elliot Page, who previously worked with the filmmaker on Inception. 

Page had a crucial role in the 2010 movie and was one of the reasons why the film earned a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. Once again, he had the chance to play an important role in The Odyssey. And even more than 15 years after Inception, Page recalled that Nolan's latest script brought back memories of their first collaboration.

Elliot Page recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He spoke about the experience of reuniting with Christopher Nolan and working on The Odyssey. When asked about the script for the film, Page revealed that it reminded him of reading the script for Inception for the first time.

“It was similar to reading the script for Inception, like I really was just left breathless,” he told Fallon. “Something that was so complex, so massive, and with this tremendous engine and heart that just kept moving forward. It just really blew me away.”

Although Inception and The Odyssey are vastly different films, they share one key similarity, which is that both tell complex, layered stories in which every character plays an important role, as Page shared in the show. One such character in The Odyssey is Sinon, the sacrificial soldier played by Elliot Page. Despite having only around six minutes of screen time, Page's performance drew praise from critics, with Variety describing the actor as the film's emotional anchor. Sinon is the first character to appear in the film and is turned into a sacrificial pawn in Odysseus' plan, allowing him and his men to enter Troy hidden inside the Trojan Horse.

However, while he showed his best performances, the actor admitted to feeling nervous before taking on the role.

Elliot Page, during his appearance on The Daily Show, admitted that he was "terrified" to play Sinon in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Before filming began, Page and Nolan had several conversations about Sinon and how to portray the character. And since the character was created specifically for Nolan's adaptation and appears in only a handful of scenes, Page wanted to live up to the director's vision.

"I was terrified and just wanting to make sure I did an OK job, you know, and pulled it off in the movie. But it was the good kind of nerves," he said. 

He went on to explain that the pressure also came from the character's emotional importance in the film. Not to mention, the filming also involved heavy practical effects. And it might be safe to say the actor was impressive in portraying the character in the film.
