Elle Fanning has always spoken fondly about her boyfriend and their relationship. The two sparked romance rumors when they were spotted walking hand in hand in 2023 in New York City. Since then, the actress has never hidden her relationship and often praises her partner. 

Fanning also often takes to social media to share brief glimpses of their time, whether traveling or simply enjoying moments. Recently, she shared an adorable detail about her boyfriend. 

In a recent interview with SmartLess, Elle Fanning was asked about something both she and her boyfriend enjoy. In response, she shared that they love going on trips together. She further went on to add how they are very similar, which makes their experiences even more fun.

“We're very similar in a lot of ways cuz he's also extremely extroverted, but he's extremely grounded and is able to really ground me. And also he kind of carves out the time for me, and I'm like I don't even realize it,” she said. 

She explained that while she is very good at scheduling her work, she struggles to do the same for her plans, and that is when her boyfriend steps in. She spoke warmly about how her boyfriend is always the one to take the lead when it comes to making plans. For those unaware, Fanning made her relationship with Gus Wenner official when the two appeared together at the Golden Globe Awards.

Now, this is not the first time the actress has spoken about her boyfriend. In an earlier interview with Who What Wear in January this year, she called Wenner “the best.” She described their future as bright when asked about her candidness while speaking about their relationship.

"Why hide? The future looks bright,” she said.

Before making his career, he was also part of a band with Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter Scout Willis, and made music. 

He became president and COO in 2017 (as per his PMC bio) before being named CEO in 2022 (as per Adweek). Later, in 2025, he became executive chairman, and in 2026, he expanded his focus by launching Wenner Media Ventures, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Wenner continues to step up in his career and, at the same time, is present for his girlfriend, Elle Fanning.
