Easter Sunday Surprise: Zack Snyder Shares Iconic Superman Image in New Instagram Post

Zack Snyder will forever be revered as a groundbreaking director for what he achieved with his version of DC's Extended Universe. He gave a glimpse of a dark, gritty world where superheroes were more than mere mortals; they were demi-gods in flesh. The seriousness, the gravitas with which he portrayed his characters, especially Superman, became a template for other movies in the franchise. Today, Zack Snyder might have departed the DCEU, but he drops something on social media now and then to remind the fans of the glory days, and the occasion of Easter was no different.
For the auspicious day, Snyder has blessed the DC universe with a callback, courtesy of an iconic photo of Superman.

Zack Snyder does not let the world forget the universe he created while he was at the helm of the DCEU. He never misses a chance to post a throwback to the SnyderVerse. In a similar effort, Snyder posted a godly image of Henry Cavill as Superman on Instagram, with the caption wishing a straight-cut happy Easter to the spectators.
Zack Snyder’s frequent throwback posts seem to fuel the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse movement, amongst many other optimizing hashtags that reflect the sentiment. This movement has been in effect since Snyder’s DCEU was cut off and James Gunn’s new shared universe came into effect. Earlier in the year, he posted a throwback Batman picture featuring Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader.
Zack Snyder released six Instagram posts last month related to Justice League to commemorate the movie's fifth anniversary. The interior of Wayne Manor, a billboard for the movie, a close-up of Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Snyder gazing at Henry Cavill's Clark Kent (Superman), Wayne T. Carr's version of John Stewart/Green Lantern, which never made it to the big screen, and Ray Porter's Darkseid were among them.
Zack Snyder’s March post came after a significant SnyderVerse update in February.
Zack Snyder hopeful for the return of SnyderVerse
Before posting the Justice League photos in March, Zack Snyder, the biggest advocate for the SnyderVerse, discussed the potential return of the universe in a rare podcast appearance. The Watchmen filmmaker did not rule out the possibility when he spoke with Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused to mark the tenth anniversary of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“I would never say that there’s no way. I would never because I was on the ride that created Justice League,” he said on the podcast.
“I mean, we live in a world where all that’s possible, and whatever form it would take, that would be amazing,” he further added.

Additionally, he disclosed that some conversations had taken place regarding the continuation of his DC movies in comic book and animated form, and he expressed optimism about seeing them come to pass. As of right now, there are no formal intentions to bring the SnyderVerse back. However, Zack Snyder’s recent post featuring Superman has once again reminded everyone of the charm of the world he created, beginning with Man of Steel.
