Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on May 4, 2026, just before the Met Gala 2026 officially commences, Dwayne Johnson has shared a video clip of his meeting with the legendary designer Thom Browne and his team. In the video, the actor cordially meets the designer, exchanging pleasantries and hugs, and the actor’s wife, Lauren Hashian, was also present at the moment.

“Meeting the man himself @ThomBrowne (and his amazing team) as we prepare for the biggest night in fashion,” read the caption of his X post.

He went on to add how he and his wife have been part of many cool things over the years, but the collaboration with Thom Browne and especially meeting him in person takes the cake for them. He was very excited to be rocking a Thom Browne-designed number and could not wait to flaunt what the designer had in store for him.

“We’re pumped to step out and have fun, and honored to rock Thom Brown all night with some edge, some mana - and vibe,” he teased in his post.

Notably, this is Dwayne Johnson’s first Met Gala appearance ever. Despite being an A-Lister for over a decade, he was never seen on the Metropolitan red carpet before. But this year, he will finally grace the steps of the Mecca of fashion, where celebrities come to redefine the standards of haute couture.
