A Dutch cinema chain is using hypnosis to help 30 people rewatch their favorite films as if they had never seen them. The chain is Pathé, and the idea is as bold as it sounds. Every film lover knows the ache of a perfect twist that can only land once. Pathé wants to find out whether the human brain can be talked into giving that gift back for one night.
While most viewers settle for popcorn and a rewatch, Pathé is bringing in a hypnotist to wipe the slate clean.

Pathé is running an experiment called Pathé REWIND, where hypnosis will try to make 30 movie lovers forget their favorite film before watching it again. The choices are Interstellar, The Matrix, La La Land and Se7en, and only one will make the final cut. The session takes place on Monday, November 9, at Pathé Buitenhof in The Hague. Experienced hypnotist Victor Kraemer will guide the group through the entire process.

Registration closed on October 29, and participation was free. Pathé will pick the title with the most interest, then invite 30 fans of that film to a private online session with Kraemer. A second hypnosis round follows shortly before the screening on November 9. The big screen then delivers the final test, with no spoilers left in anyone’s head, at least in theory.
As Pathé tries to reset Interstellar inside 30 minds, London is preparing to hear it through a live orchestra.
Interstellar Live heads to London’s O2 Arena with a full orchestra
Interstellar Live will land at The O2 Arena in London on Sunday, May 23, 2027, with a matinee and an evening show. Christopher Nolan’s complete 2014 film will play on the big screen while Hans Zimmer’s score is performed live beneath it. The 65-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will take the stage under conductor Matt Dunkley, a longtime collaborator of Zimmer. Organist Roger Sayer, the musician Zimmer chose to record the organ parts for the original soundtrack, will join them to recreate that sound in the room.

The production has already visited Lucerne in December 2025 and the Royal Albert Hall in April 2026, with Australia next on the schedule in March 2027. Performances are planned in Adelaide on March 14, Melbourne on March 21, and Sydney from March 27 to 29, where six shows will take place at the Opera House. Running for 169 minutes, the film gives Sayer plenty of time at the organ. Interstellar is heading back to the big screen in London, this time with a live orchestra, and the result may feel a lot like hypnosis for the senses.
