Dune: Part Three
Arrakis is preparing for one final sandstorm, and Hollywood might need an industrial vacuum cleaner afterward. Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Three closes his epic trilogy on December 18, with Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides confronting the consequences of his rise to power.
Zendaya returns as Chani, while familiar faces and dangerous newcomers crowd the galactic chessboard. Between enormous sandworms, imperial conspiracies, and enough spice to bankrupt a supermarket, anticipation is already bubbling.
Now the cast has traded their apocalyptic expressions for a playful promotional video, with Zendaya turning camerawoman to deliver a special surprise for fans.

The real surprise involves a return trip to Arrakis. Both Dune and Dune: Part Two are heading back to IMAX, beginning with a double feature on November 13. Individual screenings will follow from November 14 through November 18, with exclusive Dune: Part Three footage accompanying every showing. Tickets are already available.
The promotional video also features Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson, who join the returning ensemble for Villeneuve's final installment. Chalamet reprises Paul, Pugh plays Princess Irulan, Taylor-Joy portrays Alia Atreides, and Pattinson joins as the mysterious Scytale.
And while the cast celebrates its return to IMAX, Marvel is preparing an entirely different weapon for December's biggest theatrical showdown.
Dune's IMAX advantage sets up a battle with Avengers: Doomsday's Infinity Vision
December 18 is shaping up to be Hollywood's equivalent of a superhero cage match. Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday share the release date, creating a blockbuster confrontation nicknamed "Dunesday." However, the battle has already reached the projection booth. Denis Villeneuve's space epic secured IMAX screens for its theatrical opening.

Leaving Disney searching for premium alternatives for Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Enter Infinity Vision, which sounds suspiciously like Tony Stark's latest multiverse-breaking invention. In reality, Disney's initiative certifies existing premium large-format auditoriums that meet technical standards involving projection, screen size, and audio quality.
It is a certification program rather than an entirely new cinematic format. Dune has a formidable technical advantage. Villeneuve and cinematographer Linus Sandgren filmed portions of the third installment using IMAX cameras, with expanded framing designed for giant screens.
