Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse were first linked in July 2018 and have since been spotted together at several public events and red carpets. The couple made their debut together at the Met Gala in 2023. On November 20 of the same year, while performing at Mexico's Corona Capital Festival, Waterhouse confirmed that she was expecting their first child.
She later shared multiple photos documenting her pregnancy journey on social media. Pattinson and Waterhouse welcomed their first child in March 2024. The couple was first seen together with their baby during a walk in Los Angeles, with their infant in a stroller.
They did not reveal their child's name and gender for quite some time. It was later, on April 12, 2024, that Waterhouse revealed on stage during her performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival that they had welcomed a baby girl.
Since then, both Pattinson and Waterhouse have occasionally opened up about parenthood and shared insights into their relationship and family life.
Robert Pattinson said dad life is fun
Robert Pattinson has often spoken about how much he enjoys fatherhood. During the London premiere of his dark sci-fi film Mickey 17, the actor shared that he had expected to feel "less danger-prone" after the birth of his daughter. However, the actor revealed that becoming a father has brought him a new sense of happiness.
"If someone told me I was going to die in a week, I'd be like, 'What? I want to spend some more time with my kid'," he told BBC News. "That's a very deep answer."

Although the actor does not share much about his daughter, he has opened up about his life as a father. After his daughter's birth, the actor was asked whether he was any good at diaper duties. In response, the actor revealed that he is an absolute "expert" at changing diapers without disturbing the baby. He joked that he can complete a diaper change so smoothly that his daughter does not even realize it has happened.
"I'm an expert, like, the stealth nappy when the baby doesn't even know they've had their nappy changed," Pattinson told Extra.
Pattinson and Waterhouse are yet to tie the knot, but they are reportedly engaged, as per PEOPLE. She previously told Today that one of her favorite things is watching Pattinson spend time with their daughter. She further revealed that the family enjoys a daily routine of swimming together in the evening.
"We have a routine of putting her in the swimming pool and jumping in and out of the pool. That's just always the most fun. End of the day, 5 p.m., we all get in the pool and be silly. It's amazing," she said.
Robert Pattinson struggles to introduce his actor persona to his daughter
While Robert Pattinson is well known as an actor to the world, he is only a father to his daughter. However, he has made efforts to introduce himself as an actor to his child, too. In a GQ interview, the actor was asked whether he had shown any of his or Suki Waterhouse's movies to their daughter.
While he made the effort, the actor admitted that he had struggled to convince her that the person on screen was actually him. He said he would point to himself in the movie and try to show her that it was her dad on screen. And he gave several hints which were ultimately in vain.
"If I’m not getting any respect, I’ll be like, “Who’s this? Who’s that on the screen?” And she’s like…[blank stare]. And I’m like, “It begins with a D! Ends with a Y,!” Pattinson told GQ.

"I felt like my identity had been cut open in becoming a mother, and also having a lot of expectations on myself. Internally, there's been quite a lot of turmoil, and just wondering if I'm doing the right thing. And especially, oh my God, the hormones right after you have a baby are so intense," she said.
Unlike her earlier music, which focused on heartbreak and toxic relationships, Loveland, which was released on July 10, 2026, explores family, love, and emotional growth. Songs such as 'Back in Love,' 'Tiny Raisin', 'Morals,' and 'Weirdo' draw inspiration from her life with her daughter and relationship with Pattinson.
