Wonder Man will be Simon Williams’ debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II portraying the character. The series follows Simon Williams as he auditions for the lead role in a remake of an in-universe Wonder Man film, and ultimately leads him to gain superpowers.

As for whether the series is connected to the upcoming film, there has been no official confirmation so far. Moreover, a well-known scooper on social media, MyTimeToShineHello, has also hinted that Wonder Man will be a self-contained story and will follow the story of Simon Williams. So, it might not be connected to Avengers: Doomsday.

Now, since it is a Marvel series, fans may not want to skip it. Whether or not it offers clues tied to Avengers: Doomsday, Wonder Man can be watched while audiences wait for the upcoming movie.

The good news is that the series is not far from its release. After teasing its first official look, Wonder Man is set to premiere on January 27 on Disney+. Scheduled to run for 8 episodes, the series offers a refreshing addition.
