Just last year, Tom Holland's head injury while filming the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise made headlines around the world. This year, the actor and his wife, Zendaya, have been busy promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day ahead of its highly anticipated release. Both have opened up about their experiences working together, time filming the movie, and several hilarious moments.
But one of the most shocking incidents was Holland’s head injury, which has not been much talked about. While the actor stands healthy, promoting both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, here is what went down during one of the scenes and how serious his injury was.
Throwback to Tom Holland’s head injury that made headlines

Tom Holland reportedly suffered a mild concussion while filming a stunt scene for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on the set location in Glasgow, Scotland. As per the reports, the actor took a few days off from production to recover. After a period of rest, he was able to return to filming for the movie.

During this brief period of rest and recovery, the actor appeared in a few events. He was present at his family's charity, The Brothers Trust in London, and also hosted the third annual Posh Pub Quiz at Christie's auction house. Although Holland did not speak much about the injury at the time, he later reassured fans that he was doing well and recovering smoothly.
"I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend," he captioned his Instagram post after the Posh Pub Quiz event.
Despite a rough time with injury, the actor was thrilled about getting back in action for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Tom Holland called Spider-Man felt like a reunion with old pals
Tom Holland has opened up about his excitement to return for the fourth Spider-Man film. Not to mention, he was able to reunite with his wife, Zendaya, for work. While speaking in an interview with Flip Your Wig, Holland described playing Spider-Man as a happy reunion with old pals.
"Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal," he said. "I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of COVID. We shot the entire film on stages."

He went on to add that Spider-Man: No Way Home was filmed almost entirely on stages because of pandemic-related restrictions. For the new film, the production returned to real-world locations. And not just Holland, the fandom is also excited to see the actor back in action.
