For now, there is no cause for alarm, as no verified clips of The Boys, season 5 episode 1, are currently circulating online. However, detailed descriptions of plots and character fates across Reddit, X, and YouTube have gained much traction. As for whether there is any truth, many claim these leaks come from attendees and early viewers at the official world premiere screening held in Rome, Italy, around March 19–20, 2026, which makes it convincing.

A video from the YouTube channel Explainverse, titled “The Boys Season 5 LEAKS Just Changed Everything…”, is one of many posts discussing these details. As per the video, some attendees allegedly shared images from the first episode, while another claimed that their favorite character dies in Episode 1. Several such theories have been making the rounds on social media within just a few hours, seemingly ‘confirming’ the news of the leak. 

There has already been massive hype around the series, which ended Season 4 on a dark note and is now heading into its final chapter. With Homelander taking over the U.S., The Boys are shown to be captured, while Butcher lands with deadly new powers. Fortunately, the leaked information only appears to be of episode 1 of season 5, which premiered.

There is a schedule for the release of the next few episodes. 

The Boys returns for its final ride of mayhem in season 5 on April 8, kicking things off with a two-episode premiere on Prime Video. After the debut, the series will follow a weekly release schedule. New episodes will drop every Wednesday, with Episode 3 arriving on April 15, 2026

Episodes 4 through 8 will be released weekly, premiering on April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13, and ending with the finale on May 20, 2026.

The season will once again follow the vigilante group as they attempt to expose corrupt ‘heroes,’ especially Homelander, for abusing their immense power. With tensions higher than ever after Season 4’s dark ending, the stakes are expected to reach new extremes. Despite a leak, the final season still has major revelations and a gripping conclusion to one of the most anticipated returns on streaming.
