Did Paramount Just Cancel a $150 Million George Clooney Deal? What Is the Replacement Rumour All About ?

George Clooney has traipsed across countries, up to France, and yet, production house-ties seem to follow him around the globe. Only this time, the deal between him and Paramount does not look as friendly as one would think. Following a stellar performance, per usual, but a slight drop in his box office reputation, with Jay Kelly, a rumour about Geroge Clooney’s contract clash with Paramount has been circulating. However, a short internet surf is quick to clear that Clooney has, in fact, refused no $150 million worth deal. No tussle about prolonged confidentiality has occurred on Clooney’s part, either.
Moreover, there also happens to be no film where Geroge Clooney has been replaced by Mark Wahlberg, as the rumors claim. Facebook or X accounts are where such falsity may have stemmed from.
On the other hand, the element of shock comes from the fact that Clooney and Paramount have, in fact, had a beyond amicable relationship. So much so, the actor's first venture into the directorial realm was released by Paramount itself. In 2010, Clooney’s film with Paramount, Up in the Air, even bagged him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
While he has not left Paramount over unreasonably confidential contracts, George Clooney has remained openly defensive of actors’ integrity.

Clooney's wish to work with Dano, as he expressed at the AARP’s Movies for Grownups awards, stood staunchly against Quentin Tarantino’s thoughts on Paul Dano’s acting.
