This is a huge problem for The Boys, as the virus was their last trump card against him.

For context, V1 is an earlier version of Compound V that gives more power and prevents ageing, as it did to Soldier Boy. It is a cloudy baby blue serum that gives great superhuman qualities and immortality to people who take it. It is about ten times stronger than current Compound V, but it is also pretty unstable.

With Homelander now potentially immune to death and the supe-killing virus, Episode 7 suddenly feels far more dangerous for everyone opposing him. 

The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 is named The Frenchman, The Woman, and The Man Called Mother’s Milk. It will release on May 13, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video. The episode is supposed to be released at 12 AM PT in the United States. It will also be available at 2 AM CT and 3 AM ET for viewers in other time zones in the US. 

The show will be available to stream internationally as well. In the UK, The Boys season 5 new episodes are released on Wednesdays at 8 am BST on Prime Video. Additionally, it will be released at 9 AM CET in Central Europe, 3 PM AWST in Western Australia, and 5 PM AEST in Eastern Australia.

With the release date now locked in, attention has quickly shifted toward the chaos waiting ahead in Episode 7 of The Boys. 

Episode 7 is a tense chapter that cements Homelander’s power. In episode 6, he gets the V1 serum and probably has to pay the price for it with his fear of dying becoming a major factor. The team, still recovering from the serum’s loss, plots a dangerous, potentially fatal move to stop Homelander. 

It could involve the V1 virus and result in major characters’ deaths. The title suggests that the episode will spend more time with the core team as they regroup after losing the V1. Additionally, the spotlight might also shine on Frenchie, Kimiko, and Mother’s Milk. Rumors suggest that Frenchie will sacrifice himself to buy some time against Homelander, and it would be the end of his redemption arc.

On the other hand, Kimiko and Sister Sage are planning something dangerous with a uranium machine to tamper with Compound V, which will probably cause an explosion. Kimiko could be especially important since episode 6 really pushed her to the edge of what immortality actually means. 

If Homelander is even harder to kill now, Mother’s Milk may have to decide if stopping him is worth crossing a line he’s spent the season trying not to cross. On the other hand, Soldier Boy has stripped Bombsight's powers away so he could be the only person who could reverse what V1 has done to Homelander.

The Boys season 5 is the final chapter of the series. It centers on Billy Butcher and a now-dominant Homelander fighting each other to the death in a high-stakes “scorched earth” battle. It picks up right after the insane season 4 finale and follows the team trying to survive in a dangerous world. The season is full of epic battles, dire consequences, and a final resolution to the struggle between the heroes and humanity.
