Ahead of their show Brothers Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson came on TODAY's Glass Half Full podcast. During the conversation, host Craig Melvin asked McConaughey to list all the special talents Harrelson has. And that was enough to push McConaughey needed to not stop talking.
McConaughey described Harrelson as ambidextrous and a surprisingly gifted athlete, saying he can handle almost any ball sport except golf. He also highlighted Harrelson’s highly competitive nature and unusual ability to walk on his hands, recalling how he once performed a handstand just 18 inches from the Grand Canyon’s edge.
"This guy did a handstand 18 inches away from the edge of the Grand Canyon," McConaughey said.

McConaughey continued on Glass Half Full that most people stop doing things that Harrelson is doing as a kid, but even at 65, the kid in him refuses to let him act his age.
"Most people do that stuff when they're a kid and they lose it as they get older because you know better," McConaughey said. While McConaughey went on and on, Harrelson could not stop blushing at his words, even saying that he feels he is at his "funeral."
While their shines too bright, making them seem like brothers, the two recently addressed the half-brother rumors that have been surrounding them like anything.
How Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson’s Brothers rumor became a TV story
The story behind the Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson brothers rumor began during a family vacation in Greece, when McConaughey’s mother, Kay, unexpectedly told Woody, “I knew your dad” as they revealed during the same conversation on the podcast. Her carefully placed pause after “knew” immediately raised eyebrows, prompting the families to start piecing together what she could have meant.
McConaughey later said they looked into the timeline and discovered that Woody’s father, Charles Harrelson, had been on furlough around the same period that McConaughey’s parents were going through their second divorce. They also found possible locations and “receipts” suggesting that Kay and Charles could have crossed paths in West Texas.

In Brothers, McConaughey and Harrelson play fictionalized versions of themselves as their lifelong friendship is thrown into chaos after a family secret raises questions about whether they are actually related, something that draws a great parallel to their real life. The story begins when Woody heads to Matthew’s Texas ranch with his family, only for Matthew’s mother to reveal the possible connection. What follows is a chaotic mix of friendship, family, fame and identity, with Matthew also facing the possibility of running for governor of Texas.
