Owing to the brouhaha surrounding her appearance when Saturday Night Live released an episode where Sweeney starred as a Hooters waitress, fans felt enraged at the writers for sexualizing her. However, as per Chloe Finman, there was way more to the story.

Since the release of the Hooters Waitress episode earlier this year, there has been an outcry about how it took Syndey Sweeney a hundred steps back. Fans were up in arms about how the actress was not just sexualized but also portrayed as a dumb blonde, two things that she has worked so hard to break free from. However, Chloe Finman, during her Fly on the Wall podcast appearance, revealed "Sydney Sweeney, I pitched her the Hooters idea," followed by the actress encouraging her to write the script.

One of the major reasons behind fans being so offended by the script even before realizing that the actress herself approved it was because Sweeney has spoken candidly about her struggles in the past. From how she was sexualized at a young age and how Euphoria relapsed the entire narrative. However, it seems that the actress has grown confident enough not to let the unnecessary slander get to her.

If Sweeney approving the risky script was not evidence enough, the fact that she made herself bait during her SNL monologue definitely proved that the actress had taken a class in being unapologetically bold.

Much like how she did not mind becoming a Hooters waitress if that meant garnering laughs, Sydney Sweeney also did not mind making a joke at her own expense during her much-loved SNL monologue. The actress addressed the elephant in the room, which was at that time her supposed affair with Glen Powell in the most hilarious manner possible.

The incorporation of Sweeney's performance, along with the risky yet hilarious jokes that have now been revealed to be approved by the actress herself, proves that the actress is now taking a different route to deal with negativity. As if she was not already a double threat with her acting prowess and good looks, Sydney Sweeney, with her golden humor, is now a triple threat that is bound to rule Hollywood for a long time.
