Hugh Jackman recently treated himself to a magical getaway at Disneyland Paris, giving fans a glimpse into his theme park adventures through a recent post on X. However, even while taking in the fairy-tale views and exploring world-class attractions, the Wolverine star could not resist keeping his famous Hollywood rivalry alive.
In the middle of enjoying his park visit, Jackman took a cheeky jab at his long-time friend and co-star Ryan Reynolds, playfully teasing him about his Deadpool costume. The lighthearted comment is once again proving that no matter how enchanting the setting, no vacation is complete without a friendly roast between the two Marvel icons.

On July 25, 2026, Hugh Jackman took to social media to share photos from his visit to the theme park alongside a Deadpool performer.
"Spent a sensational day at @DisneylandParis. Saw many of the great Disney duos … Mickey and Minnie, Lilo and Stitch,” Jackman wrote, highlighting the classic, beloved pairs before delivering his punchline, "...Deadpool and his spandex?!?"
“Anyway, it was great time,” he further added. “A humongous thank you to everyone who made this day absolutely flawless. You are all second to none.”

The legendary Disney double-acts Jackman mentioned are known for their rock-solid, heartwarming loyalty. From Mickey and Minnie's classic, century-long romance to Lilo and Stitch's unbreakable 'ohana bond, these pairs represent the kind of deep, unconditional devotion where two characters complete each other.
Naturally, when it comes to Deadpool, the counterpart who shares that same kind of deep, inseparable connection is Wolverine. On screen, Deadpool and Wolverine share a famously chaotic, "love-hate" bond, a chaotic brotherly dynamic forged through relentless bickering, mutual tolerance, and fighting side-by-side. They are two damaged souls who ultimately have each other's backs, making them one of Marvel's most iconic pairs.
However, in true best-friend fashion, when it came time to name Deadpool's iconic other half, Jackman completely bypassed Wolverine. Instead of acknowledging their famous dynamic, he delivered a hilarious jab at his real-life buddy Ryan Reynolds, declaring Deadpool's true soulmate to be nothing more than his own tight, form-fitting spandex suit.
This quick jab was not just a random roast. For Marvel fans in the loop, Jackman's "spandex" comment was the ultimate inside joke, poking straight at one of Reynolds' biggest real-life obsessions
Why Ryan Reynolds’ spandex outfit is the ultimate target?
Hugh Jackman’s off-hand "spandex" comment comes from Ryan Reynolds' notoriously complicated history with his suit. For over a decade, Reynolds fought tooth and nail to bring Deadpool to the big screen. When he finally got the comic-accurate suit made, he loved it so much that he famously stole a complete costume from set right after wrapping the first film, frequently wearing it for viral promotions, Halloween clips, and charity visits over the years. But he absolutely hates wearing it.
In interviews, Reynolds has repeatedly complained about how suffocatingly tight and punishing the suit is, famously comparing it on The Graham Norton Show to wearing a "big red body condom" that takes a whole team to squeeze into and leaves him unable to breathe, let alone eat.

By dismissing Deadpool's half of the duo as just "Deadpool and his spandex," during his visit to Disneyland, Jackman hit Reynolds on every possible level, mocking his prized possession, poking fun at the suffocating suit he suffers in, and lightheartedly teasing the comic-book costume tropes they spent years making movies about.
