Daniel Radcliffe finally responds to the viral Harry Potter sketch
When Saturday Night Live aired a parody featuring a heated rivalry between Harry and Ron, Daniel Radcliffe was among the first to hear about it, thanks to Finn Wolfhard, who played Harry in the sketch. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Radcliffe shared his thoughts on the playful homage.
“Weirdly, I had met Finn Wolfhard a few weeks before, randomly, and we chatted for a bit,” Daniel Radcliffe told Rolling Stone.
“And then he texted me the day before it aired, being like, ‘Hey, just so you know, we’re doing a Harry Potter sketch.’ I haven’t seen Heated Rivalry, although I am very aware that my girlfriend is a huge fan. I’m sure there are jokes I was missing, but it was very funny and sweet. I’m always happy to see other versions of that. It makes me laugh.” Daniel Radcliffe laughed while speaking to Rolling Stone.
Radcliffe’s response during his interview with Rolling Stone highlights his humor and openness, showing that he enjoys seeing fresh interpretations of the character that made him famous.
Even years after the franchise ended, Harry Potter continues to spark creative spins that keep fans and Radcliffe himself entertained.
Life beyond the Wizarding World
While the viral sketch brought him back into the wizarding spotlight, Daniel Radcliffe is fully immersed in projects that highlight his versatility as an actor, as he said in his interview with Rolling Stone.
