According to Giant Freakin Robot, Daniel Craig has officially received an offer to portray Christopher Dent, a character set to be one of the three primary villains in the upcoming film, The Batman Part II. Should the former secret agent decline the opportunity, the production has positioned veteran actor Liam Neeson as the next choice for the prestigious role.

In the established lore of Gotham, Christopher Dent is depicted as the a------ and a-------- father of Harvey Dent, the man destined to become Two-Face. He is portrayed as a domestic tyrant who subjects his family to psychological torment through cruel games of chance.

Production timeline and creative direction for Batman 2

The Batman Part II will reportedly commence production on May 29, 2026, with the production centered in London. Director Matt Reeves has previously confirmed his intention to move the project into active production during this specific window via Variety as well, aligning with the hopes that plans will be executed smoothly.

Simultaneously, the specific plot details remain a closely guarded secret, and the creative team is striving to deliver a narrative that honors the legacy of the character.

“We put (the script) into a secret pouch that literally has a lock on it with a code. Pattinson was in New York at the time, and everything is high security”, director Matt Reeves stated, referring to Robert Pattinson's first time reading the script. This approach promises to distinguish the sequel from its predecessor by introducing higher stakes and unexpected threats.
