Who would have thought that a man hell-bent on avenging his dog gifted by his dead wife would give birth to an ever-expanding franchise? Apart from four chapters on John Wick’s lore and a fifth one in the works, the franchise also has Ballerina and an untitled animated prequel film. Now, the franchise is set to add another title into its universe that is a spin-off centered on the character named Caine, titled the same, from John Wick: Chapter 4.
Recent updates on the development of Cain reveal that Stranger Things' star Dacre Montgomery has been tapped to star alongside Donnie Yen in the spin-off.

According to an exclusive by Deadline, Dacre Montgomery has been cast in an unconfirmed role in the John Wick spinoff Caine, joining Rina Sawayama as Akira and Donnie Yen as the titular blind assassin. Thus, Dacre Montgomery becomes Caine's first new franchise character, as both the other actors are returning to their previous roles from John Wick: Chapter 4. Montgomery's most well-known role is that of Billy Hargrove in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, which made him a household name.
In addition, he has acted in Samuel Van Grinsven's Went Up the Hill, Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Dean Israelite's Power Rangers, and Gus Van Sant's Dead Man's Wire.
The Stranger Things fame is scheduled to direct his first film, The Engagement, later in the year. He is now starring in a reboot of the cult classic movie Faces of Death from the 1970s. Additionally, Montgomery published a collection of poems titled DKMH, adding a very different layer to the talents of the actor.
Coming from the John Wick franchise, the fourth chapter, to be specific, Caine will be embarking on a journey beyond The High Table.
New adventure awaits John Wick's Caine
The new movie is rumored to continue Donnie Yen's story arc after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4, since Caine has been released from his duties to The High Table. Montgomery's role and the plot are being kept secret; however, it is expected to be a different kind of action film - one that is from the perspective of a blind assassin.
