As the new year begins, the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards event is finally here, bringing Hollywood’s biggest stars together for a spectacular night. From Jacob Elordi to Michael B. Jordan, numerous celebrities will descend on Santa Monica, California. Fans around the world are eager to see which movies and series will take home the coveted awards, and many are wondering how to catch all the action live.

This year brings the 31st annual Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Hosted by comedian and television personality Chelsea Handler for the fourth consecutive year, the event will be preceded by a two-hour red carpet special, which will start at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET. 

Both the ceremony and red carpet will be broadcast on E! and USA Network. The rest can stream the entire 3-hour event live through services including DirecTV, Fubo, Sling, and Hulu + Live TV. And most of these streaming services, including Fubo, offer free trials.

While Fubo and DirecTV offer a five-day free trial, Hulu + Live TV has the option for a three-day free trial. For those who might miss the live event, it will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. After all, this event cannot be missed with some of the best films and actors nominated for awards.

Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as twins Smoke and Stack, was massively loved and appreciated by fans and critics in 2025. Now, it seems that the movie is also set to bag numerous accolades. Sinners is leading this year’s Critics' Choice nominations with 17 nods.  

It includes best picture, best actor for Michael B. Jordan, and best director for Ryan Coogler, putting it just one shy of the record 18 nominations set by Barbie two years ago. Joining Sinners in the best picture race are films like Bugonia, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, and One Battle After Another.

Michael B. Jordan will have fierce competition against Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio for best actor, while Ryan Coogler also picked up a nod for best original screenplay. With Sinners leading the nomination, followed by several masterpieces released this year, fans are waiting for one of the most incredible nights.
