"Crazy Genius" - The Internet Has Already Given its Verdict on 'You Can See Everything'

You Can See Everything arrives with a premise almost too strange to resist: disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes allows Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim remarkably intimate access before she reports to federal prison. Filmed secretly across three years, the three-hour A24 documentary follows the 34 days before her 11-year sentence begins, turning anticipation itself into a mystery.
Now, a striking new poster has sent the internet poking at that mystery all over again. With You Can See Everything preparing to hit theaters, the artwork has viewers revisiting the film’s unnerving premise and wondering just how much Holmes will actually reveal. For some, the poster alone may have already secured a seat.
The new artwork wastes no time putting Holmes under an almost literal microscope, presenting a grainy extreme close-up of her face with a ghosted double image. The title stretches directly across her eyes, making the poster feel less like a simple promotional image and more like a visual dare: look closer, and decide what you see.
That choice for the newest poster, as seen through DiscussingFilm on X, also neatly echoes the campaign’s earlier teaser, which fixated on Holmes’s famously unblinking stare and the uneasy promise of complete access. Here, surveillance and perception become almost inseparable from deception, while the doubled image hints that visibility does not necessarily equal truth. If the camera can see everything, the film asks, can it ever know everything?
And while the poster has already given viewers plenty to dissect, the internet has not exactly waited for the documentary to arrive in the theaters on October 16 before forming its own opinion.
The internet is already all in on You Can See Everything
The premise alone has convinced plenty of people that You Can See Everything could be something genuinely ingenious. Putting Elizabeth Holmes in front of Nathan Fielder’s camera before prison is already an extraordinary setup, but adding Lance Oppenheim, secret filming and intimate access makes the documentary sound almost too bizarre to be real
"letting nathan fielder film you is insane," one user said.
"the fact that this is actually real and not a meme is blowing my mind lmao, matching her crazy energy with nathan's awkwardness is crazy genius," another user declared.
"nathan fielder and elizabeth holmes is a crossover I never knew I needed, the awkwardness levels are going to break records," a user said.
"An unstoppable delusion meets an immovable awkwardness. Cinema of the year incoming," a user commented on X.
"Nathan Fielder documenting Elizabeth Holmes is such a bizarre combination..anyway..," said another user.
"elizabeth holmes letting nathan fielder document her every move. the first time anyone gets to see everything about one of her projects," a user said.
The internet is now ranging from praising Nathan Fielder for having the guts to pull this off to being stunned that this is not some elaborate meme. A viral clip of Elizabeth Holmes speaking eerily calmly while seemingly hiding fear behind her eyes has already become meme material, making the documentary even more irresistible. And if the internet is already this fascinated before seeing everything, the verdict may only get wilder once the full story of You Can See Everything arrives.
