Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey will be released simultaneously on disc and digital formats on November 17, according to a brief listing from a retailer that was posted online, The Direct reported. Barnes & Noble had a 4K UHD Steelbook edition listed for the same date, before the post was taken down. If the date sticks, the epic film will be available for home viewing 123 days after it hits theaters July 17, but the studio has not officially announced the release date.

As reported by The Direct, the home release comes as The Odyssey entered cinematic history as the first full-length feature film shot entirely on IMAX film cameras, allowing moviegoers to see Christopher Nolan's epic in the giant 70mm IMAX format. The premium presentation provides a much more detailed picture and a taller 1.43:1 aspect ratio, allowing more of Nolan’s sweeping visuals to fill the screen. But the format is extremely rare, with only 41 IMAX locations worldwide that can project the film in 70mm.

The Odyssey is already one of the big box-office hits of 2026, drawing large audiences and making Christopher Nolan’s ambitious movie a worldwide phenomenon. It has grossed around $1.35 billion globally, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, beating Deadpool & Wolverine. Nolan’s track record of making big films, its incredible international box office run, its all-star cast, and amazing IMAX presentation have all helped to make the film a major theatrical event around the world.
