With temperatures soaring, summer is in full swing. Although the cold and cozy days of winter are still far away, festive Christmas movies and beloved classics can bring a little holiday cheer. One such film is Christmas Under Construction, which is set to premiere on Hallmark as part of its Christmas in July lineup. Apart from the festive cheer, the movie also stars a talented cast. 

So,  before the movie arrives on screen, here is a closer look at its cast.

Jessica Lowndes: Jessica Lowndes appears as Chelsea Stevens in the movie. The 37-year-old actress and singer has appeared in several films, such as Colors of Love, Harmony From the Heart Movie, Magical Christmas Ornaments, Too Close For Christmas, A Harvest Homecoming, and many more. She is best known for playing Adrianna Tate-Duncan on the drama series 90210.

Daniel Lissing: The Australian actor, who stars as Cooper in Christmas Under Construction, has appeared in several films and shows. He has previously starred in The Cure, Eye Candy, When Calls the Heart, and The Rookie. 

Adam Hurtig: Hurtig appears as Jake in Christmas Under Construction. He has previously starred in Washed Away and The Santa Summit. 

Samantha Kendrick: She appears as Janice Edmonds in the Hallmark movie. Apart from this, she has previously appeared in The Jingle Bell Jubilee, The Christmas Heart, and many more films.

Paul Essiembre (Nobody) as Don Walters

Jan Skene (Ordinary Angels) as Edel

The film follows reality TV star Chelsea, who is sent to a cabin in New Hampshire for a work assignment. While there, she unexpectedly forms a connection with the cabin's owner, Cooper. Originally released in 2024 as Renovation Romance, the movie is making its Hallmark debut on July 4, 2026, under its new title, Christmas Under Construction.

Apart from Christmas Under Construction, there is another holiday delight to watch this Summer. 

Love Under the Mistletoe is a holiday romance directed by Bradley Walsh. The film follows a talented interior designer, Grace, who does not have much time for romance because of her busy career. However, things take an interesting turn when her high school crush returns, bringing old feelings back to the surface. As they work together to revive the Ribbons & Bows charity event, the pair begin to reconnect and rediscover their bond.

The movie stars Jen Lilley and Nick Bateman in the lead roles. Love Under the Mistletoe is set to premiere on July 25, 2026, on Hallmark at 8 p.m. Now, while the ground outside may not be blanketed with thick snow, these new festive films and holiday classics are enough to warm hearts and bring the magic of the season to the screen.
