aChris Pratt is back with the second season of his action thriller The Terminal List, and Amazon Prime just provided the first taste of the new installment with an enthralling teaser trailer. The first season delivered high-octane, uncompromising dad-action and military grit led by Pratt, tapping into a massive audience that loves fast-paced revenge thrillers, even as critics remain divided. 

However, The Terminal List has made an explosive comeback with the teaser trailer for season 2, promising even higher stakes this time around.

In the first teaser for The Terminal List season 2, which Prime Video released on Thursday, Chris Pratt is once again fighting against unidentified international conspiracies that aim to overthrow the established order. However, after being granted immunity if he assists the US government in pursuing a former Iraqi commando to uncover a geopolitical plan involving a betrayed CIA official and an assassination scheme, Pratt, as a devastated and now-fugitive former Navy SEAL, James Reece, finds a newfound purpose.

The Terminal List, which is based on Jack Carr's best-selling novels, follows Navy SEAL Commander James Reece (Pratt) as he fights mysterious conspirators who want to destroy the global system. Season 2 is based on Carr's second book, True Believer, in which he sets James Reece on a violent redemption mission and, once his list is completed, finds a new purpose. 

Season 1's psychological retribution thriller transitions into a global espionage thriller that follows Reece across Europe, the Middle East, Southern and Northern Africa, and the Indian Ocean. Reece will discover a plot in Season 2 that connects to his own family's past and stretches from Moscow to Langley.

The season 2 returns with a roster of familiar faces who played key roles in the first season.

Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, Gabriel Luna, Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, and Shiraz Tzarfati are among the returning cast members besides Chris Pratt, who is fresh off the success of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, in the star-studded second season of The Terminal List. 

Pratt, Antoine Fuqua (who directed the show's original pilot), showrunner David DiGilio, Carr, Kat Samick, Max Adams, and Jared Shaw are executive producers of The Terminal List season 2. Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media are the producers of the series. The new season is set to have eight episodes and will premiere on Prime Video on October 21.
