It seems Charlie Cox is not hanging up his Red suit anytime soon, as reports say. When Marvel Studios officially welcomed the Man Without Fear into the ever-expanding continuity of the cinematic universe, fans immediately wondered just how long the hero's tenure would last amid a constantly shifting superhero landscape. Well, their concerns recently became a reality when Marvel pulled the plug on the show, announcing that its third season will be the final installment of the rebooted series. Despite this bitter truth, it appears that the studio's horned vigilante is not going anywhere anytime soon.

According to recent insider reports, Charlie Cox is already locked in to continue wielding the batons and defending the streets in future MCU projects well beyond the upcoming third season of Daredevil: Born Again.

The latest October 2026 Q&A Part 2 of the Cosmic Circus came bearing more Marvel insider news, with scooper Alex Perez starting the session with Daredevil and, by extension, Charlie Cox’s MCU fate following the show's cancellation. When asked if Marvel plans to use the Red Devil in future MCU projects, the industry insider was pretty optimistic about the prospect.

“The show may be ending, but Charlie Cox is far from done being Daredevil,” Perez claimed.

“There is some stuff in the works for them once Born Again ends,” the scooper added.

The Cosmic Circus Q&A gave a positive indication to the fans of the show and vigilante that he might still be seen in multiple projects even if his own show is no longer in the grand MCU scheme. It was also hinted that a Defender or a Heroes for Hire series might be in the cards.

Previously, Daredevil has been used in a limited capacity in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Echo, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, he has not yet been featured in a full-fledged collaborative role with other MCU heroes. Now, it will be interesting to see how this reported claim works out for Daredevil and Charlie Cox.

“Gearing Up for Round 2” – Charlie Cox Counts on Fans for Another Miracle After 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 3

In the meantime, this claim has gained massive support from a key Daredevil: Born Again cast member.

During a recent appearance at a London fan convention, veteran actor Vincent D'Onofrio offered fans some much-needed reassurance regarding the long-term future of Marvel's gritty street-level corner. Addressing rumors surrounding the eventual conclusion of Daredevil: Born Again, D'Onofrio made it clear that neither he nor his co-stars - including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye - are planning to hang up their suits anytime soon.

When pressed about the show's eventual wrap-up, the Kingpin star clarified that the journey does not officially end until studio executives decide to recast the beloved roles, a move he emphasized is not on the horizon. Although he walked back any immediate rumors of a greenlit spinoff or follow-up crossover by noting that no specific projects are formally locked in just yet, his bold stance left little doubt: as long as the original cast remains tied to their iconic characters, the door for future appearances is always wide open.
