“Canada is not your..”- Back When Ryan Reynolds Cleverly Countered All the Americans With His Wit

Canada is home to many, and people all across the globe take it as their abode.
Apart from being a haven to several wonders of the world, it is also the native
place of our beloved Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds.
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/ryan-reynolds/] Being the proud ‘Vancouverite’ he
is, Reynolds never misses the opportunity to put in a good word for his
homeland. His affection and admiration towards Canada are as clear as day, given
the way he always gets gushy at just the mention of it.

Apart from being a powerhouse of talent, Reynolds is also neck deep into
philanthropic activities. He never fails to bowl us over with his charitable
endeavors in Canada. His passion for siding with his country’s people has been
on display on several occasions. Back in 2021, using his inherent wit and sense
of humor, he playfully advised Americans to take a moment and reiterate their
plans of moving to Canada.

RYAN REYNOLDS’ QUIRKY VIEWPOINT ON THE ‘MOVE TO CANADA’ TREND CARRIED ON BY THE
AMERICANS

The Free Guy actor is known for his impeccable sense of humor. Back in November
2021, while substituting for Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds on The Tonight Show
teasingly advocated that Americans must not jump the gun and simply think of
moving to Canada every time they get frustrated towards their own land. “You
have to stop saying that you’re going to move to Canada whenever you’re mad at
something in the U.S.,” Reynolds said.

In 2020, the clash between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential
debate worked people up so much that ‘move to Canada’ became a popular Google
search. It even trended on Twitter when there were fears of a potential World
War III with Iran. Reynolds, as a Canadian, addressed this trend and emphasized
that people should not view Canada as a haven every time something goes wrong in
the U.S. He apologized and humorously suggested Americans explore other options
like Finland instead. His humor was on top when he further said that Canada’s
friendly, but it’s not your go-to escape plan.

Just like Reynolds never holds back his love for the country, his home country
also keeps showering him with love and appreciation.

RYAN REYNOLDS IS CANADA’S BELOVED HERO

Reynolds not only dedicates himself to philanthropy in his homeland but also
receives immense love and recognition from his country. In 2022, he was honored
with the prestigious Governor General’s Award for his significant contributions
for the betterment of Canada. This Canadian superhero even has a song dedicated
to him titled ‘Canada Loves You Back.’

Apparently, he is not just an on-screen hero but the hero of Vancouver as well.

beautiful testament to the affection and admiration he receives from his fellow
Canadians.
